Designer's Notes
Charcoal floors, moody walls and jewel-toned velvet give this Chai Chee flat its den-like warmth. A forest-green armchair and rust-brown sofa anchor the living room against full-height grey drapes, with track lighting kept low and directional.
The kitchen hides behind a black-framed glass servery window — open enough to chat through, closed enough to keep cooking smells in. Inside, concrete-textured walls and walnut cabinetry continue the tonal scheme.
A bar-height ledge with stools makes the servery double as a breakfast counter. It is a compact home that chose atmosphere over brightness, and pulls it off with discipline.
