This home carries a quiet drama, rooted in contrast, curves, and composition. From the outset, we wanted to celebrate the original charm of the space while giving it a modern, soulful update that balances structure with softness. We introduced architectural arches to gently frame transitions between spaces. These curves soften the sharpness of otherwise straight-lined layouts and create a natural rhythm as you move through the home. The arches are functional but also sculptural, bringing a quiet elegance to the space without overwhelming it. Dark timber cabinetry and matte black fixtures give weight and grounding to the design. These elements contrast against white walls and pale flooring, forming a deliberate interplay of light and dark. The built-in joinery is integrated cleanly into the architecture, keeping the lines neat and purposeful. Light was curated with intent. We worked with layered curtains, custom wall sconces, and warm pendant bulbs to create a soft glow in the evenings. Natural light during the day filters beautifully through sheer curtains, lending a poetic sense of time to the space. This home is not just designed to be looked at. It is designed to be lived in slowly, thoughtfully, and with deep appreciation for the in-between moments.
