Designer's Notes
A project for

This home was designed to feel joyful, functional, and easy to live in. The clients wanted a space that balanced clean structure with family comfort, and we responded with soft hues, gentle contrasts, and layered textures that create warmth without clutter.
The core palette is built around dusty blues, whites, and oak wood tones. These colours bring a sense of calm and freshness while keeping the space light and welcoming. In the kitchen, we used Shaker-style cabinetry with fluted details to add subtle visual interest, paired with a farmhouse sink and brushed gold fixtures to bring softness to the lines.
Natural light plays a big role in the home’s atmosphere. Sheer curtains diffuse sunlight throughout the main living spaces, creating a consistent warmth across zones. Furniture was kept plush and low to keep the space grounded and child-friendly.
In the children’s bedroom, we added a soft pastel feature wall and playful furniture that encourages creativity while maintaining visual harmony with the rest of the home. Bathrooms were given boutique hotel touches with gold fittings, floating vanities, and circular mirrors framed in black for balance.
This home feels personal, lighthearted, and considered — built to support family life while reflecting a timeless sense of style.
“We wanted something soft and functional, something that would feel good to come home to and also grow with our family. The team really listened and created a home that is beautiful but not showy, and very practical for us. We love the kitchen especially. It has so much charm, and the colour palette just makes us feel calm every morning. The kids' room is playful without being too loud, and the whole house flows really nicely. It feels warm, inviting, and uniquely ours. We couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out.”— Sheryl & Jonathan
